Linus

 and two more..

When someone tells you they like binding it is too good an opportunity to pass up.  These four are destined for Linus - after someone else has completed the binding....

NYD 2026

This year's New Year's Day mystery quilt from Longarm University.  I only finished it this week as I was waiting for a sunny day to paint it outdoors.  I had to wait to go into town to buy the paint in January until the snow disappeared.  Acrylic paint watered down and added onto (damp) quilt after it was quilted and bound and everything else done.

one for linus

Not a good photo as you can see the backing fabric (which has parrots on it) in the green squares.

Log cabin finish

This was an old UFO - I had only got as far as cutting out the strips but I came across them when looking for something else, and decided they had waited long enough.  Rocheberie's challenge also happened to be log cabin so I got it finished in time for that.  It emptied two bags of strips making this....

This was a Merry Mayhem mystery but I think I put the rows together wrong - every other row was supposed to be the other way round so there were big diamonds.  Never mind.

A cat mug rug - which came out a bit big I think.

Using up of scraps - EPP hexagons in the middle of the squares.

An exercise inspired by Heirloom quilters - first square uses 2 fabrics, the next square 3 fabrics and on and on.  Not sure it came out that well.  I started using fabric with words on but realised I needed 25 different fabrics with words on and my stash didn't stretch to that!  Q by Mark.

A Star Wars bargello and the bottom one is Tinkerbell fabric which I think was from Aldi.

The green fabric on this is really dark and I said to Mark how the photo made it look different and he said "yes, the photo looks really nice".....

Another finish - because it just needed binding.  I had even cut the binding out ready so why did it take me so long (definitely more than two years) to sew it on?

Two finishes in the snow

Two finishes already this year - but I only had to do the binding and we are snowed in.  Both quilted by Mark last year.

The bottom one doesn't really work - you can see what it is meant to be in the photo but in real life, it is too big to see the pattern.
