Finishes and still to go...

I have finished 17 quilts this year, have 18 tops still to quilt and 6 quilts to bind. Everytime I try to count the Works in Progress I lose the will to live so I am not going to even attempt it.....

Finish in Flannel

This is one of the first quilts I finished earlier this year. It didn't make it to its intended recipient but is being put to good use nonetheless.

A delay

Kaboodle helping out.

Finished for Auntie Sandra

The family keep telling me that "Auntie Sandra would like a quilt". I asked my mum what colours her bedroom is "no idea". OK then, do you know what sort of thing she likes, "Yes" said my mum "she likes patchwork". Great. I am going to put this in the Lutterworth Piecemakers exhibition in October and try and get Auntie Sandra to take Nan along.....

Strange post for a Saturday but this is my office - complete with wall hanging that was a Quilt University Class with Dena Crain (made ages ago but just the right size for the wall space).

Best inspiration from recent holiday. Window from York Minster.

Best bargain of recent holiday in July to York, Scarborough, Edinburgh and Chester? This place had about 6 shelves of P&Q books.....

Matilda

Next door neighbours had a baby girl earlier in the year and called her Matilda. I won a Hugo dog applique from Janet Clare's website which I originally thought I would sew onto a babygro but then reality set in and I realised I hadn't a clue what size to buy so I should stick with making a quilt.

Father's Day

He said "it's lovely, what is it?" He was very pleased when I told him oven gloves - he thought it was something he would have to wear.......

Royal Wedding quilt (ish)

I have called this my royal wedding quilt as I was sewing the binding down while watching. 29th April 2011, Prince William and Catherine Middleton. I really enjoyed the wedding and now want a book on the cosmati pavement of Westminster Abbey....

Dull for a sunny day

Needed to fiddle with Nessie's tension a bit so just wiggled round blue bunny rabbits. Was going to cut it up into smaller pieces for preemie quilts for Linus but I like it larger so just put some binding on it.

work in progress

This, I think, is going to look better on the frame than off it.... but I am having fun.

Sunshiny day

The three girls together. This was last week - it is freezing again now.

Finishes for Japan

Two finishes. Piecemakers are collecting quilts for Japan so I will probably donate these. This is absolutely the last of the animal squares and the panel is probably the first of many as I really enjoyed quilting it.

Finish

Another one knocked off the "to finish" list - given to Linus. Have quilted about 7 so far this year but still need to attach the binding to three of them. Have also finished one that I forgot to count on my original list - and have found some others I missed off the original list too so the scores on the doors at the moment is probably about 8 down and still about 28 to go.....

NYD mystery

Finished photos but not yet washed.

New Year's Day Mystery quilt 2011

An online mystery class from longarm university New Year's Day 2011. Took me a good week or more to make it, never mind a day.... Have still got to wash it to take the marking pen out but finished the binding last night. This was my first proper project on Nessie. These are photos from halfway through.
