Strings at Summer school

I started this quilt top at least a couple of years ago - it was at the Loughborough Summer school run by Cosby quilters. It is 100 blocks and I aimed for a block a day.... I quilted it a while ago as well but I have only just finished the binding....

DeLoa Jones in Devon

Have just spent three days on a course with DeLoa Jones at Ani's Catt's shop in Devon - had a brilliant time. My workbook gradually disintegrated as the patterns got more complicated:

Spring cleaning - who needs Spring for that?

Don't tell her, but this is a Christmas present for Scarlett..... I was tidying and found a box of brushed cotton - there was too much for the lid to fit properly. I cut it into 2" squares and just sewed them together without thinking about how it would end up. I backed it with a piece of fleece - I found another large box of that. I quilted it on my domestic using the threads that were nearly finished and emptied two cones. The lid still won't close on the box of brushed cotton.....

A small finish, but still a finish..... Have been busy moving furniture, helping Mark (and Daisy) build new Ikea flat pack furniture, moving more furniture, hoovering where the old furniture was etc etc.

Not achieving very much really. Have altered my hours at work though as from the beginning of April so am ever hopeful! Has been a tough month or so just lately.

This is my current work in progress which I think might possibly be my oldest UFO (I am sure I've said that before...). It was a handquilting project and there is no way I would ever finish it by hand so I have put it on the frame and am taking out the basting stitches and small amount of hand quilting I had done as I go along.

Getting busy

In 2015 I completed 11 quilts, one doorstop, one bowl and two different types of basket. I am already behind this year and it is only New Year's Day - I have signed up for the Town and Country quilt and the 365 challenge - both of which are a block a day....... I also still need to piece my New Year's Day quilt top for the mystery that starts this afternoon as well as being behind on Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt - the final part of which was released at midnight. Why am I sitting at the computer?
