Peg bag and basket

The rush is on to get the completed count higher in 2021.....     This is a peg bag (left) and a small gift basket (right).  Both were easy to make.

At the last Rocheberie meeting, a lady "showed and telled" the peg basket and, randomly, when I got home something turned up on facebook which led me to the website selling the pattern......  Technology definitely listens in - and we haven't even got an Alexa.

Busy, busy, busy

I made a chenile bathmat which nicely used up some very fugly fabric...... I made a basket "thing" but couldn't understand some of the instructions so sort of made it up a bit as I went...... the Lutterworth exhibition was this last weekend and I finished and entered a quilt I called "simply squares" and, last but not least, Helen who works with Mark is a grandmother for the first time so this is a sort of I Spy quilt for Sidney (who was due in September but arrived in August so I didn't stand a chance of getting it made on time)- it is quilted with a frog panto.

Basket case

This was a free tutorial for a quilted basket from Geta Grama. She is in Romania and I love her stuff. I substituted an English Paper Pieced panel for her pieced one. I had to do my handles a bit differently though as I forgot to attach them before the lining (spanner). I also had to unpick the lining and do it again as I got it the wrong way round but I won't mention that (double spanner).
